The Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) and dive wear specialist Fourth Element have joined forces to launch BLACKCARD, a new clothing collection created exclusively for PADI dive professionals.

The two companies say the new range been designed for PADI Instructors and Divemasters to ‘recognise the people at the heart of diving’; those who introduce people to the underwater world and inspire them towards ocean conservation.

‘No algorithm ever made someone fall in love with diving; PADI Professionals do that,’ said Jim Standing, Chief Operating Officer for Fourth Element.

‘That idea sits at the heart of BLACKCARD. Before someone becomes a diver, they meet the person who shows them what is possible underwater,’ Standing added. ‘PADI Pros are that human connection – the trusted mentors who can transform a first breath underwater into a lifelong passion for exploration and ocean protection.’

The limited-edition BLACKCARD range includes Long Sleeve Hydro-T rashguards, Loose Fit Hooded Hydro-T rashguards, T-shirts, beanies and baseball caps, alongside polos, Shoreline and Storm ponchos, quarter-zips and windbreakers.

Accessories include mask straps, bucket hats, Xerotherm beanies and reusable drinkware. The range reflects the collection outlined by Fourth Element and PADI, spanning technical, outerwear, lifestyle and accessory pieces.

Fourth Element says that every item in the collection has been designed with its environmental ethos in mind, using recycled, organic or natural materials and meeting Fourth Element’s OceanPositive standard.

‘PADI Professionals have always been the backbone of the diving industry,’ said Kristin Valette Wirth, Chief Brand and Membership Officer for PADI Worldwide.

‘They don’t simply teach people how to dive. They open the door to an entirely new world and, in doing so, have the ability to change the trajectory of someone’s life.

‘The BLACKCARD Collection was created to recognise that role and give our Pros something that represents the standard, responsibility and pride that comes with being a PADI Professional.’

The Fourth Element × PADI Pro BLACKCARD collection will be available for pre-orders from 3 November 2026 at DEMA Show, and will be available exclusively to eligible PADI Professionals online at padi.fourthelement.com.
