Aggressor Adventures appoints new CEO, Jay Roberts

Aggressor Adventures has announced the appointment of former Operations Manager, Jay Roberts, as Chief Executive Officer, following the passing of longtime CEO Wayne Brown.

The appointment was made by Dana Brown, now owner of Aggressor Adventures following her husband’s death, as the company looks ahead to its next chapter.

Jay Roberts brings more than 30 years of experience in the diving industry and over two decades of leadership within Aggressor Adventures.

The company says his deep operational knowledge, passion for exploration, and long-standing commitment to the brand uniquely position him to lead the company forward.

‘Jay has dedicated his career to Aggressor Adventures and embodies everything this company stands for,’ said Dana Brown. ‘His leadership, experience, and passion for our guests and crew make him the right person to guide us into the future while continuing to build on the strong foundation that has been established.’

Born in Clearwater, Florida, and raised in Dover, Arkansas, Roberts developed a love for exploration at an early age. Today, he lives in Augusta, Georgia with his wife and children, sharing that same passion for adventure with his family.

Roberts says that some of his most meaningful moments have taken place aboard Aggressor yachts, including certifying his son as a scuba diver and watching his daughter take her first steps onboard.

Roberts first discovered scuba diving at the age of 19 and quickly turned that passion into a profession, eventually becoming a PADI Open Water Instructor, now celebrating 30 years as a professional in the dive industry.

His career with Aggressor Adventures began in 2002 in an unconventional way – swimming from one liveaboard to another to deliver his resume – and has since evolved into a remarkable journey through nearly every level of the organisation, from Cruise Director and Captain to Operations Manager.

Roberts has also played a critical role in shaping Aggressor’s global operations, having led teams across multiple destinations, served as a Relief Captain throughout the fleet, and helped scout and develop new dive destinations around the world.
