Aggressor Adventures announces Belize Aggressor V and new Belize South itinerary

Premier scuba diving liveaboard operator, Aggressor Adventures, has announced a shake-up to its award-winning Caribbean liveaboards as the Bahamas Aggressor will complete its final charter this June before relocating to her new home in Placencia, Belize, as the new Belize Aggressor V.

The newly rebranded Belize Aggressor V will introduce a new ‘Belize South’ itinerary to the fleet, which will focus on the pristine waters of Placencia and Glover’s Reef. The Maiden Voyage of the Belize Aggressor V is set for July 25, 2026.

‘This is an exciting evolution for our fleet and something the team has been working hard on for the past 6 months,’ said Cole Watkins, Director of Marketing & Advertising for Aggressor Adventures.

‘We’ve seen incredible guest feedback on this southern Belize itinerary during its limited runs and expanding it with a dedicated yacht allows more divers to experience one of the most untouched regions in the Caribbean.’

Following the vessel’s transition to Belize, divers will still be able to enjoy Bahamas diving on board the Bahamas Aggressor II, which will continue to operate its popular year-round itineraries to the Exuma Cays and Tiger Beach.

Belize is widely known as a wall diver’s paradise, featuring dramatic drop-offs adorned with towering crimson gorgonians and giant orange elephant ear sponges.

The new Belize South itinerary builds on that reputation, offering a diverse week of diving across some of the region’s most spectacular and less-travelled sites.

Divers will explore the waters of Placencia and Glover’s Reef, where dramatic wall dives along the eastern edges transition into gentle sloping reefs to the west.

A maze of swim-throughs and pinnacles reveals thriving marine ecosystems filled with colourful nudibranchs, macro critters, nurse sharks, and the occasional rare batfish and/or toadfish.

This itinerary has previously been offered on a limited basis with the Belize Aggressor III, operating just a few weeks each year.

Due to its popularity and strong guest response, Aggressor Adventures is now expanding the experience with a dedicated vessel.

A week of exceptional diving

The journey begins at South Water Caye Marine Reserve, part of the Belize Barrier Reef UNESCO World Heritage Site, where vibrant coral gardens and healthy reef systems provide an ideal introduction.

Midweek is spent exploring Glover’s Reef Atoll, one of only four true coral atolls in the Caribbean. This remote and protected marine reserve features a brilliant turquoise lagoon dotted with more than 800 patch reefs and pinnacles. Divers can expect exceptional visibility, dramatic walls, and abundant marine life including reef sharks, eagle rays, sea turtles, moray eels, and the endemic white-spotted toadfish.

The itinerary also includes a visit to Gladden Spit & Silk Cayes Marine Reserve, known for its dynamic marine activity, large schools of fish, and exciting pelagic encounters.

The week concludes at Laughing Bird Caye National Park, a stunning and photogenic site known for its crystal-clear waters, coral formations, and vibrant reef life.

The Belize South itinerary offers a rare opportunity to explore a quieter, more untouched side of the Belize Barrier Reef—far from the more frequently visited northern sites. With fewer liveaboards operating in the region, guests can expect a more exclusive and immersive diving experience.

With the introduction of the Belize Aggressor V, Aggressor Adventures continues to expand its global footprint while delivering new and exciting ways for guests to experience the underwater world.

Introductory offer starting at $2,795pp

For those looking to try the new itinerary early, Aggressor is offering an introductory offer which will save divers $600-$800 per person (depending on stateroom), for bookings made between 1 April 2026 to 15 May 2026 for travel until 31 March 2027.
