Tourist boat runs aground near Marsa Alam, Egypt

All passengers and crew were rescued safely after a tourist boat ran aground near Hamata, south of Marsa Alam in Egypt, according to Egyptian authorities.

The vessel, identified as La Villa, was carrying 28 people, including 20 foreign tourists and eight crew members, when it struck the seabed in shallow coastal waters close to Hamata.

Emergency services were alerted and a precautionary evacuation was carried out. Everyone on board was transferred safely to shore, where medical checks were conducted. Authorities confirmed that no injuries or fatalities were reported.

Egyptian officials said an investigation had been opened to establish the circumstances surrounding the grounding. No further details have been released about the cause of the incident or whether the vessel sustained damage.
