Egypt’s Chamber of Diving and Watersports (CDWS) has rescinded its advisory asking travellers to register online prior to travelling. The news comes just 24 hours after an advisory was issued
The new statement reads:
We would like to update you on the announcement published yesterday concerning the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population’s official website for registering the incoming travelers, please note that it has been decided to postpone using the website until further notice.
As per the attached letter, the website is still a pilot version, and the passengers will be allowed to enter to the country whether they registered through the website or not until it is complete and available for use.
No timescale has been announced regarding the intended start date of the advance registration requirements. The registration portal, as of time of writing, remains open.
