Shearwater launches 'ultra-bright' AMOLED Perdix 3

Dive computer specialist Shearwater Research has announced the launch of the Perdix 3, which the company describes as ‘its toughest and most capable full‑size dive computer to date’.

The new computer features a 6.1cm (2.4″) ultra‑bright AMOLED display, which Shearwater says delivers exceptional visibility, reliability, and versatility for divers of all levels and in all environments.

The Perdix 3 has been engineered for demanding dive conditions, and combines a precision titanium construction with an armoured casing designed to protect the performance‑enhanced electronics at depth.

The AMOLED display around which the computer has been designed is protected by a toughened aluminosilicate glass lens that Shearwater claims provides outstanding clarity and impact resistance.

At 450 x 600px the display’s resolution is four times higher than previous models which, together with the larger, brighter display, is designed to significantly improve readability in all lighting conditions – from bright surface intervals to deep, low‑visibility dives.

The Perdix 3 will be available in silver and black versions.

The Perdix 3 introduces an updated user interface with intuitive menu navigation, enabling divers to access critical information quickly and confidently.

Programmable quick‑change settings have been added to the menus to make it easy to switch between custom layouts and dive configurations for divers who alternate between different dive types or conditions.

Air integration support is available for up to four Shearwater transmitters, enabling the Perdix 3 to scale up from a recreational diver’s first air‑integrated computer to a robust, advanced multi‑gas technical setup.
