Shark Trust and Rapanui launch limited edition clothing range

Rapanui and Shark Trust campaign to protect sharks – 10 per cent of profits from every sale to support shark conservation efforts.

Sustainable clothing brand Rapanui has teamed up with marine conservation charity the Shark Trust to launch a new capsule collection spotlighting shark conservation.

The limited-edition range is available exclusively at rapanuiclothing.com from 13 August, with 10 per cent of profits from every sale donated by Rapanui directly to the Shark Trust.

Sharks are among the most important guardians of ocean health, but in the last 50 years, global populations of pelagic sharks have decreased by more than 70 per cent.

In UK waters, species such as the angel shark, tope, and blue shark play a vital role in balancing ecosystems, but are under threat from overfishing, bycatch, and habitat loss.

The new collection is inspired by these species and the stories they represent, so Rapanui’s 10 per cent donation of its profits will be directed towards the Shark Trust’s Oceanics Programme, supporting international efforts to secure stronger protections for migratory sharks.

‘We’re stoked to be teaming up with the Shark Trust on this campaign,’ said Rob Drake-Knight, Rapanui Co-founder. ‘Healthy oceans are essential for all life on Earth, it’s an issue that matters deeply to our team.

‘This collaboration helps highlight a species that’s too often misunderstood, while showing that better systems, in conservation and in clothing, are possible.’

The campaign will run across both brands’ platforms, with an editorial feature on the Rapanui blog offering deeper insights from the Shark Trust.

The launch is supported by social media content, campaign photography, and collaborations with marine scientists and underwater photographers.

‘Sharks are vital to ocean health,’ said Paul Cox, CEO of the Shark Trust. ‘But right now, many species are being pushed to the brink, often caught in high seas fisheries as unmanaged bycatch.

‘The funds from this collaboration will directly support our work to secure science-based protections. We’re delighted to be working with Rapanui to take that message to a wider audience.’

The collection is available from 13 August 2025, exclusively at rapanuiclothing.com/rapanui-x-shark-trust
