Christopher Ward has unveiled the Trident 30×30, a 500-piece limited-edition dive watch created in support of Blue Marine Foundation and its 30×30 Ocean Action Plan.
Christopher Ward will donate £30 from every Trident 30×30 sold to Blue Marine’s 30×30 Ocean Action Plan, in addition to the two per cent of Trident sales revenue it donates throughout the year.
The Trident 30×30 is the fourth watch the British watchmaker has developed with Blue Marine since the partnership began in 2019, during which time Christopher Ward has donated more than £750,000 to the organisation.

The latest model follows previous collaborations between the two organisations, including the C60 Blue Limited Edition and the C60 Trident Pro 600 Mk3 Blue Marine Foundation, both launched in 2020, and the C63 SH21 Blue Marine, released in 2023.

The watch is the first in Christopher Ward’s contemporary dive platform to use Sellita’s new SW200-2 Power+ automatic movement, offering a 65-hour power reserve and a timing tolerance of -5/+12 seconds per day.
It is housed in the Trident Reef’s four-part case, combining a stainless steel core with a matte aluminium shroud and matching bezel, and is water resistant to 200m. In place of an exhibition caseback, a deep-stamped closed caseback carries highly polished ‘Blue Marine Foundation’ and ’30×30′ markings.
The dial features a stamped wave pattern finished in a parrotfish-blue colour matched to the case and bezel. Diamond-polished indexes and hands are filled with Super-LumiNova Grade X1, while a coral-coloured seconds hand references coral reef ecosystems.
‘We took inspiration from the colours of the parrotfish when developing the watch,’ said designer Matthew Sweatman. ‘Not only are they among the ocean’s most visually striking species, but they also play a vital role in reef health by eating algae that can inhibit coral growth. Their connection to previous Blue Marine conservation projects made them a natural source of inspiration for the design.’
The watch is supplied in a recycled bamboo presentation box wrapped in an outer sleeve made from Notpla paper produced from waste seaweed byproducts from the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries.
Limited to 500 pieces worldwide, the Trident 30×30 is priced at £895 on a parrotfish-blue or white Aquaflex rubber strap, or £1,060 on the Bader bracelet.

Christopher Ward is also launching a ‘#takethetime’ Instagram photography competition alongside the watch. Entrants are invited to submit a photograph showing what ‘#takethetime’ means to them for a chance to win a Trident watch and a Fujifilm X-T30 camera worth £900. Entries close on 20 August.
