Sharm El Sheikh’s famous Camel Dive Club has announced the winners of its Underwater Stories from the Red Sea photo and video competition.
Photographers and videographers were invited to submit entries that captured the beauty, atmosphere and emotion of the Red Sea as part of Camel Dive Club’s 40th anniversary celebrations.
Winner of the Best Photo Story was Jean-Baptiste Cazajous, who shared a series of striking images taken during his dives in the Northern Red Sea.
Winner of the Best Video Story went to Simone Piccoli for her short film, Echoes of the Red Sea, a short-form film highlighting the importance of respecting and protecting the Red Sea.
Judges for the competition included Italian visual artist Peitro Formis, Portuguese film director Frederico Serra award-winning storyteller Vasco Pinhol, the UK’s multiple-award-winning underwater photographer Dr Alex Mustard, and Editor-in-Chief of Germany’s Tauchen magazine, Alexander Kassler.
