Shearwater Research has announced the launch of its highly anticipated Peregrine TX model dive computer, a fusion of the popular Peregrine model’s large screen and user-friendly interface, now with air integration capability and a digital compass.
Designed for recreational divers, the Peregrine TX can be paired with up to four Shearwater Swift transmitter to provide real-time gas information and remaining dive time calculations based around the computer’s Bühlmann ZHL-16C GF algorithm.
The Peregrine TX is depth-rated to 120m and can handle three nitrox gas mixtures during a dive. Haptic alarms provide divers with necessary alerts, and the battery lasts around 30 hours between charging.
‘Shearwater is committed to providing divers with air integration options across the full line of Shearwater computers,’ said Shearwater’s CEO Jason Leggatt. ‘Not only does this support improved diver safety but it creates a more seamless diving experience.’
‘All critical dive data is found in one device and calculations like Gas Time Remaining (GTR) can extend dive time, allowing us to do more of what we all love,’ added VP of Sales and Marketing, Josh Horoshok.
The Peregrine TX is already shipping and available from authorized Shearwater dealers.
