Charlotte Hall

Charlotte Hall is a freelance journalist based in the North of England. Her specialisms include climate news, environmental research and nature conservation and she has written on topics ranging from European wildfires to nuclear waste in Japan. She has written for BusinessGreen, the Byline Times, the Manchester Evening News, ManchesterWorld, NowThen Sheffield and The Local (Germany). After receiving a first-class degree in German and English literature from the University of Oxford, she completed a gold-standard NCTJ in multimedia journalism at News Associates, Manchester. With a background in literature and languages, she has a keen interest in how we communicate about the world around us. When she’s not reporting news, she can be found roaming the Peak District or gradually transforming her flat into an indoor jungle.
