SHEBA – the pet-food subsidiary of Mars – has released a new video featuring Paralympic swimmer Ellie Simmonds, in which she showcases the world’s largest mass coral restoration programme and the communities it supports.

SHEBA and Mars have been invested in coral restoration for some 20 years, and the initiative – now formally known as ‘Sheba Hope Grows’ has recently announced the successful planting of 30,000 coral fragments across 2,500 square metres of reef in the Spermonde Archipelago, Indonesia, as part of its ‘Big Build’ initiative.

By 2029, the Sheba Hope Grows movement aims to have restored more than 185,000sqm of coral reef – the size of 148 Olympic swimming pools – at various sites around the world.
