Premier scuba diving liveaboard operator Aggressor Adventures has announced the return of its Komodo itineraries, which will be available on board its new Komodo Aggressor from 1 May 2025.
The six itineraries include:
- Sulawesi North to South from Bitung (Lembeh) to Kendari (11 nights)
- North Komodo, starting and finishing in Labuan Bajo (7 nights)
- Komodo North & South out of Labuan Bajo (10 nights)
- Komodo & Sumbawa out of Labuan Bajo (10 nights)
- Alor to Alor round-trip Alor itinerary (9 nights)
- Banda Sea itinerary leaving from Alor and finishing in Ambon (10 nights)
Each of the trips offers a huge array of marine life, from blank sand muck diving and coral reef macro creatures to large pelagics, manta rays, a variety of shark species and everything in between.
Komodo itineraries will also include a hike in Gili Lawa Darat and a walk to see the famous Komodo Dragons.
The Komodo Aggressor is a 29m (95 ft) Indonesian-built traditional Phinisi-style twin-masted, powered sailing yacht with an 18-person crew.
She sleeps a total of 16 guests in eight cabins: two Balcony Suite staterooms on the upper deck; three Master Staterooms (two on the upper deck and one on the main deck); and three Deluxe Staterooms on the lower deck – all of which are fitted with en-suite bathrooms and individual climate controls.
Diving is from two twin-engine tenders and 3-4 dives per day (including night dives) are available depending on the itinerary and weather conditions.
Although the diving is year-round, the water temperature can vary dramatically within the park, ranging from 22°C/72°F in the southern region up to 29°C/84°F in the northern region. A minimum of 3-5mm hooded wetsuit is recommended at all times of year.
The first scheduled service will be an 11-night trip on the Sulawesi North to South itinerary, commencing 1 May 2025.
