Aggressor Adventures has announced the addition of a new vessel to its fleet of Red Sea liveaboards. The Red Sea Aggressor V will offer two new itineraries to the Deep South of the Egyptian Red Sea from March 2025.
The new itineraries will alternate each week between 7-day voyages to Elba Reef and to Rocky and Zabargad Islands. All voyages will leave from Port Berenice, approximately 2.5 hours by road south of Marsa Alam and 5 hours’ drive from Hurghada.
The 40 metre (131 ft) steel-hulled Aggressor V has five decks and is fitted out for 26 divers with four Master Staterooms and nine Deluxe Staterooms, each with en-suite facilities, air conditioning and a TV and media player.
Two 7.6m (25ft) tenders will transfer divers to and from the reef, and a crew of 12 is on board to cater to guests. Up to 5 dives per day will be possible, depending on time and weather conditions.
The proposed Rocky & Zabargad itinerary will take in Abu Galawa East & West, the islands of Zabargad and Rocky, the Habili reefs and the somewhat incorrectly named ‘Dangerous Reef’.
The Elba itinerary will head further south to the Elba reefs and will include a stop at Abu Fendira, where the Red Sea Aggressor V will – at present – be the only liveaboard permitted to visit.
The itinerary will also take in the wreck of Levanzo, a 111-metre-long cargo ship sunk in 1923 close to the border with Sudan.
As a particular highlight for 2025, on the fifth day of each Elba itinerary, divers will get the chance to explore completely new areas of reef between Elba and Fendira. Divers will then rank and vote on each of the reefs and the top four dive sites will be added to the itinerary from 2026.
Red Sea Aggressor V is set to make its maiden liveaboard voyage (to Elba Reef) on 29 March 2025. For more information and to make a booking, head to www.aggressor.com/destination/RedSea-DeepSouth
