The Divers Alert Network (DAN) Europe has launched a new Voice-Over-IP (VOIP) service, enabling DAN Europe members to call its emergency hotline via the Internet, should mobile reception be limited or unavailable.
The service also means that long-distance calls can be made to the Alarm Centre without having to pay excessive costs to mobile service providers.
DAN Europe said on its website that it would like to remind divers that they are now able to contact the Alarm Center through the following channels:
- DAN Europe App (iOS, Android)
- Directly calling the emergency numbers (international, local) found on DAN Europe’s digital Membership card
- From the DAN Europe web page dedicated to Emergencies
