Todd was born and raised in Hawaii and spent his summers in the waters around Waianae where his uncle taught him how to fish, spear, boogie board, body surf and throw net. He started scuba diving at the insistence of his wife in 1990 and hasn’t stopped since. In 2006 Todd got his first underwater camera, Fuji F810, and took his first photo of a fish butt. Now he can’t even dip a toe into a tide pool without taking a picture of the underwater life. Sharks are one of his favorite underwater subjects although he admits to being addicted nudibranchs as well.
