Featured Photographer: Oscar Ramirez

Oscar Ramirez is an underwater photographer from California. He fell in love with the underwater world in his late twenties while snorkelling for the first time and was captivated by the massive amount of life and beauty beneath the surface. He quickly started scuba diving training and underwater photography became his passion. Through creating and sharing images that represent the beauty of the ocean he hopes to convince people that there is so much worth protecting in the seas. Both from shore and boat, Oscar’s local diving covers the Southern California coast all the way to the Coronado Islands, on the Mexican side of the border with the USA. His continuous search for different species and seascapes has led him so far to remote locations in Indonesia, the Caribbean, Florida, the Arctic, the Hawaiian islands, South America and Mexico.
