Our MPB Geographical Better World Video Awards has attracted some fantastic videos, and there are still a couple of weeks left to enter
You have until 31 December 2023 to get your entries in for the MPB Geographical Better World Video Awards.
If you have a video which will inspire others to help conserve our oceans and make the world a better place, please send us a YouTube link and you could win a fabulous prize – £3,000 towards a trip to Wakatobi, a £1,000 donation to your cause or charity, plus £500 vouchers to spend with MPB.
The Manta Trust has already entered a cracking film about engaging locals in a remote Maldivian atoll in manta conservation, and award-winning film-makers Graeme Purdy and Vanessa Raw entered their film about sperm whales in Dominica on the day a marine protection zone was announced in the area to protect the local population.
Simon Hilbourne has also entered his film documenting the work the African Marine Mammal Conservation Organization is doing to protect sharks and rays in Cameroon, West Africa.
Whether it be a social media video or an ambitious short film, and whether you’re a beginner film-maker or an established campaigning group, we want to share your stories, which inspire and encourage others.
Dive centres and local conservation organisations can enter the group section and win a cash boost for their projects. Individuals can win £3,000 towards the cost of an expedition of a lifetime to Wakatobi, for a film of over three minutes in length.
Plus there are £500 MPB vouchers for short social media films and entries from under 18s.
Help to make the world a better place and inspire others. Head to the MPB Geographical Better World Video Awards page for full details and terms and conditions for entering. Good luck!
