New Sealife Sea Dragon 3000SF

SeaLife has launched the latest edition to its collection of lighting for underwater photographers and videographers, the new compact Sea Dragon 3000SF Pro Dual Beam photo-video light.

The new light features a larger COB LED than the 2500 series, delivering 3000 lumens in an even 120° wide beam. SeaLife reports an impressive 90 CRI (colour rendering index) with a proprietary COB LED array that replicates natural sunlight (100 CRI is equivalent to like natural sunlight).

The beam can be switched from the wide 120° beam to a narrow, 1500 lumen 15° spot, extending creative opportunities such as creating a narrowly focused snoot or stage spotlight effect. The narrow beam has a long effective range which makes it useful for looking into dark areas and discovering hidden critters, or serving as a primary or secondary dive light for night dives without the camera.

The Sea Dragon Pro Dual Beam also has two 180 lumen 88° red LEDs, which won’t compromise a diver’s own night vision, or scare-off light-sensitive sea creatures. Operation is managed by a single ‘feature control button’ which switches through the most popular functions with a single press (3000 (Lumen) flood > 1500 flood > 750 flood > 1500 spot > 750 spot > 180 red > Repeat).
