British Antarctic Survey is looking to recruit experienced scuba divers for deployment to the Antarctic later in 2022. Three positions are available at Rothera station, the Antarctic’s largest research station, and one at King Edward Point on the island of South Georgia.

If you think you’ve got what it takes to carve holes in the ice to go diving in a land where the sun doesn’t shine for 6 months, take a look at the job descriptions below and follow the links for more information and begin the application process. For an in-depth look at what life is like as an Antarctic diver, check out the brilliant article by resident scientist Joe Marlow, first featured in our Winter 2020 print issue.
