Scubapro GO Sport fins for divers who prefer boots

9 April 2019
2 minutes

By DIVE Staff

Scubapro’s original ‘GO’ fin was introduced in 2016 as an open heel fin for those who prefer warm water diving and snorkelling barefoot and with full-foot fins. The fin has apparently proven popular enough that Scubapro has decided to release the Scubapro GO Sport – a ‘Boot-Fit-Design’ version for divers who prefer colder water and diving in booties, particularly when entering the water across rocky shorelines.

The new Scubapro GO Sport has the same functions and features as the original, now with a revised version of Scubapro’s ‘Ergo3’ foot pocket, designed to accommodate boots. The blade has been slightly revised with mounting points for ‘Skegs’, small inserts near the tip of the blade that, according to Scubapro, ‘minimise sideslip and maximise stability’.  The length of the blades has been designed to fit into IATA carry-on compliant luggage, and the interchangeable skegs are available in 10 different colours.

Scubapro Go Sport fin features

  • Lightweight design for travel convenience and comfort in the water
  • Open heel ‘Boot-Fit’ design features a replaceable self-adjusting bungee heel strap
  • Revised Ergo3 foot pocket is re-profiled for comfort and power transfer
  • Ultra-strong 100 per cent Monprene construction for long-term, heavy-duty use
  • 25º pre-angled blade with a Central Power Panel provides longitudinal rigidity and creates a channelling effect
  • Power Bars on the underside prevent over flex to maintain the optimum angle of attack under high-load conditions
  • Mounting points for Skegs that minimize sideslip and maximize stability
  • Skegs come in a variety of colours for customization or for colour-code sizing in rental operations
  • Piggy Back Stack system for space-saving storage and transport
  • Fins fit easily in IATA carry-on compliant luggage

Colours: white, yellow and turquoise with black skegs; black and blue with silver skegs
Additional Skegs: Green, army green, purple, turquoise, blue, orange, yellow, pink, black, silver
Sizing: XS / S / M / L / XL

RRP GO Sport fins: £89
RRP Skegs (pair): £4.50
